Bath, Body, and Hair Care Packaging: Plastic That Glows
Ampacet Corp.’s (Tarrytown, NY) FormulaX Glow masterbatch features transparent colors with a fluorescent effect. When the package is exposed to a black light, it glows.
“It would be perfect for teen or tween personal care products,” says Doug Brownfield, strategic business manager for Ampacet. “Visually electrifying package colors also ramp up performance expectations for high-energy products.”
Color intensity and opacity levels for orange, pink, or yellow formulations can be adjusted. FormulaX Glow also has another use. It will give a bottle molded with a high percentage of PCR or recycled PET greater brightness.
